This course allows students to use Adobe Photoshop for digital skills as well as utilize traditional darkroom work to more dynamically control and strengthen their image making experiences. Alternative processes, toy cameras, smartphone apps and online image sites will be discussed and explored. As they investigate these new techniques and resources, students have much more opportunity to solve visual problems in creative ways. Regular critiques and discussion of historical (and current) events help examine images in a critical way that leads to inspiration and artistic growth.
