Photography 161

Photography is the art of seeing, thinking, composing, processing and presenting images. The goal of the GBS Photography program is to nurture the ability and desire of students to make images that inform, surprise, enlighten or mystify. Students will be introduced to photography through the fascinating processes of experimentation that is B and W film and print development. For our digital exploration, students will work with Adobe Photoshop at the end of the semester. This course builds the foundation for visual literacy from work in class, enjoying art in museums to processing the flood of images they are surrounded by each day. We will be using 35mm manual film cameras and digital cameras. The supply kit is available at the school bookstore.
