Latin American History 161/171

This course is a survey of the history and cultures of Latin America. Students will explore modern political and economic developments, historical foundations of the region, impact of geography, cultural beliefs and values, and the growing influence of Latin America on recent events in the United States. Class experiences also include field trips and guest speakers. In order to receive honors credit, students must complete additional course work.

  • Placement is through department recommendation.
