Construction Skills – Geometry in Construction 163

This is a year-long course and must be taken in conjunction with Geometry 263. Together, these two courses create the program titled “Geometry in Construction”. Students will gain experience in carpentry, including safety, tool use, floor, wall, and roof framing, as well as the ability to read architectural drawings. We have partnered with Habitat for Humanity, and each year the students build the walls for a family in need in addition to other projects throughout the year. Students work in teams, and build friendships and practical skills that will last a lifetime.
